ABOUT HIGHER GROUND COMMUNITY MEDIATION

Higher Ground Community Mediation is dedicated to supporting healthy families, organizations, and communities by helping people build bridges of communication and understanding. The Higher Ground concept is based on the transformation of conflict engagement into creative opportunities to strengthen relationships and forge collaborative partnerships at all levels of society.

Higher Ground Community Mediation offers a wide variety of dispute resolution and group facilitation services to individuals, families, neighborhood groups and HOAs, community and commercial organizations, and public agencies.

Services include:

  • Individual and group conflict coaching/consultation
  • Family and group dialogue facilitation
  • Divorce, custody, parenting plans
  • Elder care and caregiver mediation (including guardianships and conservatorships)
  • Neighborhood dispute resolution (noise, barking dogs, landlord/tenant issues, HOA, and more)
  • Public deliberation process facilitation
  • Other alternative dispute resolution processes

ABOUT DAVID TROXEL:

David holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from the University of Denver and is trained in multiple types of mediation and dialogue facilitation. His extensive experience includes court and human services mediation for Jefferson County Mediation Services in Golden, CO, and he currently serves as a mediator and founding board member of Mountain Judicial Mediation, a Carbondale non-profit providing case resolution services to Garfield County Combined Courts. In addition, David has worked as a consultant in developing Elder Care mediation programs in Denver and Boulder, and is state certified as a Child & Family Investigator for the 5th and 9th Colorado Judicial Districts.
